About Crosshair EDGE

Crosshair EDGE is a Windows desktop application distributed through Steam. It is a custom crosshair overlay with a built-in Bullet Counter, Steam Workshop preset sharing, Steam Cloud sync, and a desktop organizer. This Privacy Policy applies to the crosshairedge.com website and to the Crosshair EDGE Windows application.

Data the website collects

The Crosshair EDGE website does not collect personal data directly through forms, accounts, or tracking pixels. The website does not require sign-up and does not run advertising or analytics that identify individual visitors.

The website may use basic hosting and security logs (for example, IP addresses and request metadata) maintained by the hosting provider for the purposes of operating, securing, and diagnosing the site. These logs are standard for any website and are not used to build personal profiles.

Support emails

If you contact us at [email protected], we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to your request and to improve the app. We do not sell or share support emails with third parties.

Steam services used by the app

Crosshair EDGE is distributed through Steam and integrates with Steam services. When you run the app, it may use:

  • Steam account identification — to know which Steam account is running the app, so Steam features (Workshop, Cloud) can work.
  • Steam Cloud — to sync your crosshair presets, configuration, and settings between your computers.
  • Steam Workshop — to browse, download, subscribe to, vote on, upload, update, and delete crosshair presets shared by the community.

Crosshair presets, configuration, Workshop uploads, votes, subscriptions, and Steam Cloud data are handled through Steam services. Use of Steam is governed by the Steam Privacy Policy and the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

What Crosshair EDGE does not do

  • Crosshair EDGE does not inject code into games.
  • Crosshair EDGE does not read or write game memory.
  • Crosshair EDGE does not modify game files.
  • Crosshair EDGE does not patch or hook game processes.

The app only manages its own transparent overlay window through standard Windows APIs. See Safe Crosshair Overlay for more detail on the overlay-only design.

Children's privacy

Crosshair EDGE is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
